Crescent Rotary Club of Greensboro, North Carolina, founded in 1964, is an organization full of interesting, vibrant, and caring people of all ages dedicated to meeting people, helping people, and having fun. We meet for lunch most Mondays from 12:30-1:30, at the Greensboro Regional Realtors building located at 23 Oak Branch Drive, just off Wendover Avenue.
Throughout the year, Crescent has an impressive lineup of speakers and social events that our members have come to cherish. Lunch programs routinely focus on current events in and around the Triad, including entrepreneurship, arts and entertainment, sports, education, governmental affairs, and more. We have a number of fellowship opportunities in addition to our weekly meetings, including wine socials, group outings to local sporting events, golf tournaments, holiday parties, picnics and our annual fundraiser gala.
Crescent has a rich history of dedication to Rotary’s central theme of “Service Above Self.” Our members serve numerous local non-profits, such as Purple Heart Homes, Greensboro Housing Solutions’ Project Rebuild, Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club, Salvation Army Red Kettle, Greensboro Urban Ministry, Greensboro Beautiful, Meals of Hope, Guilford County Schools, and others. Moreover, through both our annual fundraiser, and through individual donations, Crescent lends considerable financial support to a number of local organizations in need. Likewise, the club provides assistance to international causes related to disease eradication, health, clean water, hunger, and literacy in poverty-stricken areas throughout the world. We believe strongly in the work of Rotary International, as evidenced by our recognition in 2004 as the first Rotary club in the entire world to achieve the elite “Triple Crown Club” status.
We invite you to explore our site further to learn more about one of the premier Rotary clubs in the world, and we hope you will visit us at one of our upcoming meetings.
